Several Assad regime fighters were killed on Sunday after Daesh launched an attack on their positions in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.
The attack was launched in the morning targeting positions belonging to Assad’s forces and allied sectarian militias in the desert of Al Bukamal and the outskirts of Al Hassrat village, in the eastern countryside, resulting in the death and injury of several fighters. This coincided with clashes in the Salhiyah areas, in eastern Deir Ezzor.
Daesh fighters captured several positions inside the Hassrat village, while clashes are ongoing in the vicinity of Al Jalaa and Al Ramadi towns.
Daesh has recently been targeting Assad’s forces in the south of Al Bukamal and Hamima area, as well as the desert of Al Bulayl, Al Quriyah, and Al Mayadin, inflicting heavy casualties upon them.
