Today, Russian warplanes launched a violent series of airstrikes against several targets in Deir Ezzor province, causing the death and injury of a number of civilians and hefty damages to their properties.
‘’Russian airstrikes on the town of Albu Layl in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside today resulted in the immediate death of two civilians and severe injury of two others,’’ D24 correspondent in the eastern countryside said today.
He added ‘’ Russian warplanes conducted at least three air raids on Al-Huwayqa, Al-Orafi and Al-Jabliya districts of Deir Ezzor, resulting in extensive and heavy damage to civilian properties.’’
Assad-regime heavy artillery positioned on the mountain overlooking Deir Ezzor city have intensively shelled ISIS-held districts of Deir Ezzor, with no reports of casualties.
It should be pointed out that sporadic clashes are taking place between the regime forces and ISIS in Al-Huwayqa and Al-Jabliya districts of Deir Ezzor, coinciding with regime artillery shelling ISIS-held areas in the city, with mutual sniping operations at the front of Al-Bughayliya, which ISIS captured recently.
