Today, The New Syrian Army launched an offensive to recapture the city of Al Bukamal, Deir Ezzor province, from the organization of Daesh.
The military operation started in the Badiya of Tanf; among its goals is to advance towards the city of Al Bukamal near the Iraqi border, which has been under Daesh’s control for more than two years now.
The New Syrian Army’s offensive on Al Bukamal comes in connection with a simultaneous attack launched by a group of Sunni tribes along with Iraq Counter Terror units who are trying to force Daesh out of the area of Ruwat and Al-Qaim close to the Iraqi border.
Both the Syrian and Iraqi attacking forces are coordinating their assault on Daesh, while, in the meantime, are backed by the Coalition forces whose jets are currently bombing Daesh targets in order to pave the way for them to advance and take over more terrain.
More than 1000 Daesh fighters of different origins are presently operating in the city of Al Bukamal, on top of them, the prominent leader, Sadam Al Jamal who has joined Daesh ranks since its arrival in Deir Ezzor, he is also complicit in the murder of dozens of people from the province.
