Yesterday, Wednesday, 27-2-2019 the SDF found a mass grave near Al-Baghuz village in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside.
The SDF through one of their leaders, Adnan Afrin, said today, Thursday, that they had found a mass grave containing dozens of corpses belonging to Yazidis who had been detained and brought from Iraq by Daesh.
The military commander of the SDF, Adnan Afrin said:
“the bodies included men and women who were beheaded or shot.”
And he added that the investigations were still ongoing, and it had not been proven whether the bodies belonged to Yazidis or other people.
It is noteworthy that thousands of civilians have been arrested from Syria and Iraq by Daesh, and their fate has not yet been known but some truths have begun to unfold as Daesh is surrendering and withdrawing from its last strongholds in the far east of Deir Ezzor province.
