Activists from Deir ezzor called for mass protests next Friday under the name “Al-Salhiyah’s martyrs Friday” after Friday prayers on 27-9-2019, according to Deir Ezzor 24 network correspondent.

In the call, which was printed and spread throughout Deir Ezzor countryside, the activists demanded the people of Deir Ezzor prepare for large-scale protests in the industrial zone roundabout in the factories area north of Deir Ezzor, and called on those who would participate to keep peaceful protests.

It is noteworthy that mass protests occurred last Friday, August 20, 2019, in Al-Salhiyah area in the northern Deir Ezzor countryside, in which protestors demanded the Assad forces and the Iranian militias leave the eastern Euphrates. The Assad’s forces responded to the protests with live fire, killing three civilians and wounding more than ten.
