Assad’s forces casualties mount as Daesh increases its ambushes in Deir Ezzor

Daesh has recently reorganized itself in the countryside of Deir Ezzor and it has carried out violent assaults against several positions belonging to Assad’s forces in the region, which have led to the death and injury of hundreds of regime fighters. It should be pointed out that the organization is now utilizing guerilla warfare tactics.


The Daesh’s attacks killed a commander of the Iranian-backed Quds Brigade at the outskirts of Al Bukamal. In addition, three military security officers were killed in mysterious circumstances after their vehicle triggered the explosion of an IED on the highway to Muhassan city. The dead were identified as Saleh Al Mahal Mohamed Suweilih Saad Mahal Mohamed Suweilih and Mohamed Shakir Sultan.


Two Hezbollah fighters were killed, several were wounded, due to the explosion of a landmine near Al Bukamal city.
