Daesh fails to break the blockade on its elements east of the Euphrates.

Today,Thursday evening, Daesh elements attacked the SDF positions in Al-Baghuz Fawqani town in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside.

D24 network correspondent indicated that Daesh launched the attack in order to regain control of the positions they have recently lost and to break the blockade on its forces in the area.

In this regard, our correspondent confirmed that there have been deaths and injuries among both sides in the clashes that broke out between Daesh and the SDF near Al-Baghuz village.

In this context, the SDF shelled positions belonging to Daesh in its last pocket east of the Euphrates, in order to expel the organisation from the area.

It’s noteworthy that the SDF have recently been able to control several villages and towns in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, after fighting with Daesh.
