Local sources revealed to D24 network that a large number of the SDF-linked Deir Ezzor Military Council elements have defected from the council after the SDF removed the commander Hatem al-Busaud.
The sources noted that the elements defected in the western Deir Ezzor countryside, announcing that they had left the Council and would not return until the Syrian Democratic forces reverse their decision to remove the commander Hatem.
The defecting elements accused the head of Deir Ezzor Military Council, Ahmed Abu Khawla, of siding with the Syrian Democratic forces, without paying attention to their problems with the leadership of the SDF.
It is indicated that the decision of the SDF to remove the commander Hatem al-Busaud has triggered a wave of discontent among the elements of Deir Ezzor military council, who demanded the SDF to reverse their decision.
It is noteworthy that the leadership of the Syrian Democratic Forces have recently taken similar decisions, removing some leaders from their posts in the region.
