Internal fighting occurs between two groups of the SDF over smuggling

Written by D24

Last night, clashes took place in Diban town in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside between two military groups of the Syrian Democratic Forces (the SDF), D24 network correspondent said.

Our correspondent noted that the fighting between the two groups was over the apportioning of profits of smugglings they carry out from the SDF-held areas to the areas controlled by the Assad’s forces after the SDF handed over the crossings to one of its military commanders, Zardasht, who has raised the costs of smuggling materials without telling the other groups.

Our correspondent said that stray bullets from the clashes have hit the civilian houses with no reports of casualties.
