A dispute took place between an element of the Iranian 47th Regiment militia and elements of Assad’s forces in Al-Bukamal city on Tuesday, July 28. The dispute quickly developed into an armed clash between the two sides, according to Deir Ezzor 24 network correspondent.
Our correspondent added that an element of the militia quarrelled with elements of Assad’s forces at the motorcycle market in Al-Bukamal. Both sides brought more elements and started shooting in the air, which caused tension in all of the area.
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard militia (IRGC) controls al-Bukamal city and has the upper hand there, while Assad’s forces are only present in some circles and headquarters in the city.
