D24 network learned from sources that the Kurdish leader (Zardasht) was removed from his position as a governor of the so-called ayalah Al-Bassirah (Al-Bassirah area) shortly after being appointed by the SDF.

The sources said that a major dispute occurred between leaders of the SDF-linked Deir Ezzor military Council and the Kurdish leader Zardasht because of the latter took actions against the smugglings carried out by a number of the council leaders on the river crossings to the areas controlled by the Assad’s forces in Ash-Shahil, Diban and Al-Hawayej.

The sources noted that the military leader Zerdasht was beaten in the past days at his headquarter in Al-Bassirah city by elements and some leaders of the Deir Ezzor Military Council at the instigation of Deir Ezzor military council leader Ahmed al-Khubeil (Abu Khawla), and Zaradasht along with another leader, Abu Islam al-Bajjari, were removed from their positions After this dispute.

It is noteworthy that Zaradasht was the leader of the fourth regiment in the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) before being appointed as a governor of Al-Bassirah Ayalah (area) because of the rampant smuggling carried out by military commanders of the SDF and merchants dealing with them to the Assad’s forces-held area through river crossings.
