Two children died yesterday in Suweidan Jazeerah town, controlled by the SDF, after taking expired medicines.
A D24 correspondent said that the children ‘Abdullah and Rim Mahmoud Al-Bikr’, both below the age of five year, passed away yesterday after taking an expired fever medicine.
Their parents bought the medicines from a pharmacy in the aforesaid town.
It should be pointed out that many children have died due to expired medicines in SDF-held areas of Deir Ezzor, which is caused by the absence of any health surveillance measures.
Deir Ezzor Civil Council-linked health committee had previously distributed expired medicines to the pharmacies and health centers in the Deir Ezor countryside.
